Sebastian Verrier (Vice President) did not have any updates for the “Find-a-field” Committee.

Last month the club voted on having the club build some new starting tables, which Chris Farrel offered to build the tables.  He had them both finished in less than a week!  Great job Chris!

New Business:

Dr. Mike Atkinson proposed the idea of having a "Soar Star/Wingo" park flyer flying event.  The motion was seconded by John Clark.  The event will take place September 14th.  The club will provide $25.00 towards awards/prizes and the event admission fee is $5.00.  Dr. Mike hopes to have more details at next months meeting.

Ed Budzyna read a "letter to the editor" from the Tallahassee Advertiser from a reader that stated he/she had a unpleasant day as a guest at our field.  The letter basically stated the this person remembered a time when they would come out and members were eager to talk, answer questions, and etc.  However, on this last visit, the members didn't make them feel welcome.  A REMINDER TO ALL MEMBERS:  WE REALLY NEED TO MAKE AN EFFORT TO CORRECT THIS. All the work that the PR committee is doing will be negated by one letter like this.  It is very important (not only morally, but politically) to keep a good name out there in case we ever need to relocated the field.  We could very easily lose it to a ball park that everyone loves.
