URGENT MESSAGE
We have had numerous complaints from our friends at the
landfill regarding members flying over the scale house at the landfill.
The membership has discussed this issue many times. We
have to police ourselves. When you see someone flying over the trees
next to the pond, politely ask them to stay away from the no-fly area.
The best way to avoid the no-fly area will be to avoid that region of the
field completely.
Instructors: When instructing, be sure to teach new
pilots to stay away from the no-fly area at all times. If this means
additional work on our part by taking the controls sooner than we normally
would, so be it. Also, emphasis on respecting the flight line at all
times should be made.
It would be nice to fly wherever we want at the field. If
we don't all learn to respect our boundaries, we'll all be looking for
a new field.
